The concept of private security is hundreds of years old. One company dates back to the 1800’s and is still one of the foremost names in security. Although the security business today is significantly different, the tremendous need for security is quite evident. Industrial plants, apartment complexes, retail stores, and construction sites are becoming frequent targets of vandalism and theft. The theft of salvageable metals has become almost epidemic in proportions. The owners and managers of businesses are becoming more aware of the growing need for additional protection. As government budgets become more restricted and greater demands are made upon law enforcement agencies, more companies are looking to private security to supply their needs.

Mobile Patrol

Many businesses benefit from the high visibility of having a marked patrol car and uniformed officer in their area but do not feel they need full time protection. This service is available on a daily basis or for specific days of the week according to the client’s needs.

Standing Guard

Officers are available on a 24 hour, around the clock basis. We also provide officers for shorter periods of time. Add Security offers both uniformed and plain clothed officers, although we have found uniformed officers to be more effective in most situations.

Patrol Car

Sometimes a business will request a marked security vehicle on site as well as an officer. This provides high visibility security which is an excellent deterrent.

Security Escorts

On occasion, a client may have a need for an escort to accompany them or their employees. We can provide a uniformed or plain clothed security officer for this service. Add Security can provide marked or unmarked vehicles.

Security Consulting

This service is available to assist our clients or prospective clients in determining the most effective program to serve their particular security needs.

Qualifications

  • Add Security is fully licensed and certified in the State of Washington, the State of Oregon, the City of Portland, and the City of Vancouver, as well as others.
  • Add Security is also a member of the Washington State Security Council.
  • Add Security has certified trainers on staff. These trainers are certified in Washington and Oregon.
  • The Security Director, Office Manager, Senior Field Supervisor, and Field Supervisors are certified in all areas of security.

Our corporate office is headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, with operations from Clark County, Washington through Multnomah County, Oregon and beyond. Add Security began operations March 1, 1984. The original purpose of the company was to specialize in commercial and industrial security. Since our inception, our clients have included construction companies, the City of Vancouver, Clark County, the State of Washington, apartment complexes, medical facilities, restaurants, industrial and manufacturing plants, retail stores, banks, and various other enterprises.

Certification

Security Officers in the State of Washington must be licensed. Along with licensing each guard is required to do a fingerprint and background check with the Washington State Patrol and the FBI. Add Security screens all prospective Security Officers before hiring. We endeavor to check their personal references and verify their job history. Each applicant is also interviewed extensively by the Operations Manager and screened by the Office Manager.

Security Officers that are required to work in the State of Oregon are also required to go through even more extensive training and licensing requirements through DPSST (Department of Public Safety Standards and Training)

The State of Washington requires an eight hour training course, but our officers receive additional training in several different areas of security. The job of a security officer requires an ongoing program of training. Our Security Officers are well trained and professional.

Besides the standard training, each officer is specifically trained for each site they work. This on-the-job training results in more knowledgeable security officers and better overall service for our clients. This training is always done by a certified trainer and Field Supervisor.

Technology

We use smartphones and tablets with quick and simple drop down reporting menus to streamline the reporting, maximize on site visibility, and reduce your risk and liability. Instead of traditional hand written DARs our officers are provided varied reporting options that enable them to report easily throughout their shift.
• Issue types can be completely customized and worded for your industry and specific property.
• At your choosing any issues or incidents reported can trigger a notification to the necessary parties (i.e. managers, maintenance supervisors or teams, and issue specific vendors).
• All issues are prioritized based on the scope of service at each property and according to your needs.

In Addition

In all areas of training and recruiting, Add Security will endeavor to select only those best able to fulfill the specific requirements of each site. They will be chosen for their ability to serve as an asset to both client and Add Security. Our full staff of field and management personnel will be available at all times, as well as the supervisors assigned to this specific duty. All security officers will be screened, trained, monitored, and periodically evaluated throughout the contract term. Should the client be dissatisfied with one of the officers assigned to the site, the officer will be replaced. Add Security, Inc. will do everything possible to ensure your complete satisfaction.
